Wall Murals by Patrick Brooks
Patrick S. Brooks was inspired to draw from an early age from watching animated shows and films. His grandfather Brooks, a painter, also influenced his interest in art.
Patrick developed his art through school, college and university where he graduated in Fine Art. He has worked in video games but now spends his time as a freelance illustrator and writer. Patrick has worked with publishers in South Korea, America, Australia and the UK and has worked on 17 books.
He developed his pastel skills throughout his art education and moved into mixed media. In college, he began using Photoshop and now uses it to create his illustrations. Using custom pastel brushes and layer effects such as overlay, Patrick creates his scenes and characters. There is often a dreamlike and ethereal feel to the pieces and Patrick enjoys experimenting with light. He is based in Cornwall in the UK and enjoys illustrating something new every day.
